What’s Honey Groove’s purpose?
Honey Groove was created to celebrate LGBTQ performing artists, visual artists, creatives and entrepreneurs. We aim to empower LGBTQ creatives, engage the community, and awaken the creativity within us all. While our focus is LGBTQ artists of color, the stage and the space are open to everyone.
When, where, and what time is the festival?
The festival takes place on Sunday, September 2 starting at 4pm at Blind Whino - 700 Delaware Ave SW, Washington, DC 20002. Map it!
Where can I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets online prior to the festival. Click here to purchase tickets.
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes! General admission tickets will be available at the door, but they’ll cost more.
What do I get with a general admission ticket?
A general admission ticket includes admission to the festival, access to live performances, visual art, vendors, food trucks, cash bar, and more. Doors open at 4pm.
Is there an age limit?
You must be 21 or older to attend the festival. (And yes, there will be a bar.)
What is the re-entry policy?
All exits are final.
Will there be parking?
We strongly suggest that you either taxi/Uber/Lyft or take the metro. Blind Whino is about a 10-minute walk from the Waterfront Metro Station (Green Line).
Is smoking allowed?
Yes, but outside.
Is Honey Groove indoors or outdoors?
The festival is indoor and outdoors. Rain or shine, Honey Groove is happening!
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No food, drinks, or coolers will be permitted into the festival. There will food trucks at the festival.
What should I bring?
Good energy first and foremost. If you’re planning to purchase music, art, food, or creations from artisans, bringing cash will make your life easier.
I can’t make it to the festival, what should I do?
We do not offer refunds, but you can invite someone to attend in your place. Just send an email to with your name and the first name, last name, and email address of the person taking your spot.
